1.About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are issued by SYFTE Market Services Private Limited ("Company"), which operates venuebook.in ("venuebook.in", "we", "us" or "our"). They govern access to and use of our website, mobile applications, customer-support channels and related digital services (collectively, the "Platform").
venuebook.in is primarily a marketplace and technology platform for discovering, comparing, requesting and managing bookings for independent venues, farmstays and other categories made available on the Platform. We may also provide software-as-a-service tools to Partners; Partner-side use is governed by separate Partner terms and commercial agreements.
2.Acceptance and electronic contracting
By creating an account, submitting a booking request, making a payment, clicking an acceptance button, or otherwise using a feature that states these Terms apply, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Mere access to a public page does not by itself waive any statutory right.
Electronic records, confirmations and acceptances may be used to form and evidence transactions to the extent permitted by applicable Indian law.
3.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to create an account or make a booking. If you act for a company, family member, organization or other person, you represent that you have authority to act on their behalf.
We may restrict or close an account where we reasonably believe the eligibility requirement is not met.
4.Key definitions
- "Customer" or "User" means a person or entity using the Platform to search for, request or make a booking.
- "Partner" means an independent venue owner, farmstay owner, operator, lessee, authorized manager or other service provider listing or managing an offering through the Platform.
- "Property" means a venue, farmstay or other bookable space or accommodation displayed on the Platform.
- "Booking" means a reservation that has reached the confirmation status shown on the Platform.
- "Platform Fee" or "Convenience Fee" means a fee charged by venuebook.in for specified Platform services, where applicable and disclosed before payment.
5.Marketplace role and contracting structure
Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, venuebook.in does not own, possess, operate or manage the physical Property. The Partner is responsible for the Property and the services it agrees to provide.
For the underlying venue, stay or property service, the service contract is ordinarily between the Customer and the relevant Partner. Separately, venuebook.in provides marketplace, technology, payment-facilitation and support services under these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibilities that applicable law places directly on venuebook.in as an e-commerce entity, marketplace, service provider or other regulated person.
6.Partner terms and category-specific terms
Partners use the Platform under separate Partner Terms and Conditions and other commercial terms. Customers may also be subject to category-specific terms (for example, Venue Customer Terms), the Partner's disclosed property rules and the cancellation/refund policy shown before booking.
A Partner may not rely on a hidden or undisclosed term to impose a material charge or restriction that was not reasonably disclosed before confirmation, except where required by law or necessary to address an immediate safety issue.
7.Accounts and account security
You must provide accurate and current account information and keep your contact details updated. You are responsible for safeguarding OTPs, passwords and other authentication credentials and should notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
We will not hold you responsible for unauthorized activity caused by our own security failure, fraud by our personnel, or another matter for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
8.Listings, information and verification
Property descriptions, images, videos, amenities, policies, prices, capacity, availability and service details are generally supplied or confirmed by Partners. We may conduct onboarding, KYC, document checks, moderation or other verification steps, but verification is not a guarantee that every statement, facility or service will remain accurate at all times.
Partners are responsible for keeping listings accurate and for promptly correcting material changes. Customers should review the final booking summary, Partner rules and any material restrictions before payment.
Where a material listing discrepancy affects a confirmed booking, we may assist the Customer and Partner in reaching an appropriate remedy, without limiting any statutory rights.
9.Search, rankings and sponsored placements
Search results may be influenced by factors such as relevance to the search, location, availability, price, popularity, quality signals, listing completeness, responsiveness, customer feedback, commercial arrangements and other factors described on the Platform.
Paid, promoted or sponsored placements will be identified where required by applicable law. We will not knowingly manipulate search results or use ranking practices in a manner prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law.
10.Booking requests and availability
Submitting a booking request does not guarantee availability. A Booking becomes confirmed only when the Platform shows it as confirmed after the required payment and/or Partner acceptance conditions have been satisfied.
If a payment is collected for a request that is not accepted or cannot be confirmed, the amount eligible for return will be initiated for refund to the original payment method, subject to payment-provider processing timelines and any amount lawfully retained for a separately supplied service.
11.Prices, taxes and disclosed charges
Partners generally determine their Property prices, packages, add-ons, per-person charges and other service charges. venuebook.in may separately charge a Platform or Convenience Fee. Compulsory charges and applicable taxes should be disclosed before the Customer commits to payment.
A confirmed price will not be increased merely because a Partner later changes its standard rate. Additional amounts may apply where the Customer changes the booking, exceeds the agreed guest count or time, purchases additional services, causes damage, or where a change in law or tax treatment applies.
Tax invoices and receipts will be issued by the person legally responsible for the relevant supply under applicable tax law. The invoicing structure may therefore vary depending on the transaction and the Partner's tax status.
12.Promotions and price reductions
Coupons, promotional prices, referral benefits and other offers may be subject to additional eligibility, validity, usage and cancellation conditions displayed with the offer.
Where applicable law requires comparison with a prior price or other price-disclosure information, the Platform and/or Partner will display the required information. Misleading or fictitious reference pricing is not permitted.
13.Online payments
Online payments are processed through third-party payment service providers and banks. Available payment methods may include UPI, cards, net banking, wallets or other methods supported at checkout.
You must use only a payment instrument you are authorized to use. venuebook.in does not ask you to disclose a card CVV or UPI PIN to our personnel and does not intentionally store complete card numbers, CVVs or UPI PINs.
A payment authorization, technical acknowledgement or debit notification does not by itself confirm a Booking. Booking status must be checked on the Platform or in the confirmation communication.
14.Direct or offline payments to Partners
Some Partners may create or record an offline booking through their venuebook.in dashboard while collecting all or part of the consideration directly from the Customer. Where money is paid directly to a Partner and does not pass through a venuebook.in payment flow, the Partner is responsible for receipt, custody, reconciliation and any refund of that amount, subject to applicable law and the agreed booking terms.
venuebook.in may provide booking records and reasonable support for such bookings but does not become the holder of money that was paid directly to the Partner.
15.Booking confirmation and communications
Confirmed Booking details may be made available in the Customer account and may also be sent by email, SMS, WhatsApp or other enabled channels. You should check the booking date, time, guest count, package, add-ons, payment status and Partner rules promptly.
If you notice an error, contact the Partner and venuebook.in as soon as reasonably possible. A Customer should not rely on a booking request, cart state or payment debit alone as proof of confirmation.
16.Changes and rescheduling
Changes to dates, times, guest count, packages, rooms, add-ons or other material booking terms require the Partner's acceptance where they affect the Partner's service. Price differences and disclosed rescheduling charges may apply.
If a requested change cannot be accommodated, the existing Booking remains subject to its original terms unless the parties agree otherwise. If the Customer elects to cancel instead, the applicable cancellation policy will apply.
17.Cancellations and refunds
Customer-initiated cancellations are governed by the cancellation policy clearly disclosed for the relevant listing or Booking, together with applicable law. venuebook.in will not impose an undisclosed default penalty merely because a Partner failed to publish a cancellation policy.
If the Partner cancels, refuses a confirmed Booking without lawful cause, or cannot provide the booked service, the Customer is ordinarily entitled to a refund of amounts paid for the unprovided service through the relevant payment channel, subject to any lawful alternative remedy expressly accepted by the Customer.
A Platform or Convenience Fee may be non-refundable for a Customer-initiated cancellation only where this was clearly disclosed before payment and retention is permitted by applicable law. Where venuebook.in itself fails to provide the Platform service for which a separate fee was charged, statutory and contractual refund rights remain unaffected.
venuebook.in may initiate approved online refunds promptly, but the time at which funds are credited depends on the payment provider, bank and payment method. Any displayed refund timeline is an estimate unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18.Security deposits and damage claims
A Partner may require a security deposit if clearly disclosed before confirmation. The booking page or confirmation should state the amount, who collects it and the circumstances in which deductions may be made.
A security deposit should not be treated as Partner revenue merely because it has been collected. Deductions should relate to documented damage, unpaid overtime, rule breaches or other agreed charges and should be reasonably explained to the Customer.
Where venuebook.in only facilitates collection, the underlying damage determination remains a matter between the Customer and Partner, subject to applicable law and any support or dispute-assistance process we make available.
19.Venue and farmstay rules
Customers and guests must comply with the Property rules disclosed before or at check-in/event entry, including lawful rules on capacity, timing, noise, alcohol, smoking, pets, outside food, decorators, caterers, visitors, identification and use of facilities.
A Partner may refuse or stop a service where necessary for safety, legal compliance or a serious breach of disclosed rules. Any refund consequence must be assessed under the booking terms and applicable law; a rule breach does not automatically extinguish all statutory rights.
20.Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of booking information you provide, the conduct of persons attending under your Booking, and compliance with applicable law.
You must not exceed lawful capacity limits, damage property, interfere with safety systems, misuse the Platform or make a Booking for an unlawful purpose.
Special requirements such as accessibility, dietary needs, vendor access, power requirements or event permits should be raised before confirmation where they are material to the Booking.
21.Partner responsibilities
The Partner is responsible for the physical Property and for delivering the services it has represented and agreed to provide, including applicable cleanliness, safety, staffing, amenities, licenses and permissions within its control.
venuebook.in does not supervise day-to-day operations of independent Partners. However, we may investigate complaints, request evidence, restrict listings or take other Platform action where appropriate.
22.Loyalty points and credits
VB Coins or other loyalty benefits, where offered, are promotional platform credits and are not cash, bank deposits or transferable stored value unless expressly stated otherwise.
Earning, redemption, expiry, reinstatement and tier rules are governed by the loyalty-program terms shown on the Platform. If a Booking is cancelled, treatment of applied or earned credits will follow those rules and the cancellation outcome.
We may change a loyalty program prospectively, but will not knowingly remove benefits already earned in a manner prohibited by applicable law.
23.Reviews and user-generated content
You may submit genuine reviews, ratings, photographs or other content based on your actual experience. You remain responsible for content you post and must not submit unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, infringing, abusive or fabricated material.
You retain ownership of your content. You grant venuebook.in a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content for operating, improving and promoting the Platform, subject to applicable privacy law and any removal rights that apply.
We may moderate, restrict or remove content that violates law, these Terms or our content policies, while preserving any legal rights or obligations relating to complaints and evidence.
24.Prohibited Platform use
You must not use the Platform to commit fraud, impersonate another person, use stolen payment instruments, scrape or harvest data without authorization, reverse engineer restricted portions of the Platform, introduce malicious code, interfere with security controls, manipulate reviews or rankings, or bypass disclosed Platform fees through deceptive conduct.
Nothing in this clause restricts lawful interoperability, security research, consumer complaints or other conduct that cannot lawfully be prohibited.
25.Intellectual property
The Platform software, branding, design and original content owned by venuebook.in or its licensors are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for rights expressly granted, no ownership right is transferred to you.
Partner-supplied listing content remains subject to the Partner's or relevant rights-holder's ownership. You may use Platform content only for personal or authorized business use connected with evaluating or managing a Booking, unless additional permission is given.
26.Third-party services and links
The Platform may integrate or link to payment providers, maps, messaging tools, analytics services or third-party websites. Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
venuebook.in is responsible for its own acts and omissions but does not control an independent third party merely because the Platform links to or integrates with that third party.
27.Platform availability and technical errors
We aim to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, internet failures, third-party outages, security events or other technical issues may temporarily affect the Platform.
If a technical error results in an incorrect price, duplicate debit or failed booking, we will investigate and take reasonable corrective action. A material pricing error discovered before confirmation may be corrected or the affected transaction cancelled with an appropriate refund of amounts actually collected for the unprovided service.
28.Fraud prevention and identity checks
We may use automated and manual controls to detect suspected fraud, account takeover, payment abuse, duplicate claims or other misuse. We may request proportionate identity or transaction information where reasonably necessary for security, refunds, dispute handling or legal compliance.
We will not cancel or withhold money solely on an unsubstantiated suspicion where applicable law requires a refund or other process. Where feasible, we may seek additional information before taking a final adverse action.
29.Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, fraud or security risk, unlawful conduct, repeated misuse, non-payment of amounts lawfully due, or where required by law.
Where circumstances reasonably permit, we will provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate restriction may be used where necessary to protect users, funds, systems or legal compliance.
Termination of a Platform account does not automatically cancel a confirmed Booking unless cancellation is necessary or separately permitted under the applicable booking terms.
30.Electronic and marketing communications
We may send service, security, booking, payment, cancellation, refund and other transactional communications that are necessary to operate your account or Booking.
Marketing or promotional communications will be sent in accordance with your preferences, consent and applicable communication laws. You may opt out of promotional communications through the method provided in the message or account settings, without losing essential transactional communications.
31.Privacy and personal data
Our handling of personal data is described in the venuebook.in Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms. Partners may also process personal data for their independent service delivery and legal obligations; where a Partner collects data directly, its own privacy obligations may apply.
Do not provide highly sensitive information through free-text fields unless it is genuinely necessary for the Booking.
32.Consumer grievances and support
Customers may contact venuebook.in for Platform-related complaints and for reasonable assistance with Partner disputes. We may ask for booking records, photographs, invoices, communications or other evidence necessary to investigate.
Complaints will be acknowledged and handled within the timelines required by applicable e-commerce and consumer-protection law. Where required, the Platform will publish the name, designation and contact details of its grievance officer and customer-care channels.
Nothing in our internal grievance process prevents a Customer from using the National Consumer Helpline, a Consumer Commission or another statutory remedy available under law.
33.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, venuebook.in is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable from our own breach, or for acts and omissions that are solely attributable to an independent Partner or third party and outside our legal responsibility.
For claims arising solely from venuebook.in's Platform service, our liability may be limited to direct, proven loss caused by our breach and, where legally enforceable, to the fees paid to venuebook.in for the affected transaction.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, our own breach of statutory duty, or any refund or consumer remedy that applicable law requires.
34.Customer indemnity
You will be responsible for third-party claims, losses or reasonable costs to the extent they are caused by your unlawful conduct, fraud, intentional infringement of third-party rights, or material breach of these Terms. This clause does not require you to indemnify venuebook.in for our own negligence, wrongdoing or statutory responsibility.
35.Force majeure
Neither venuebook.in nor a Partner will be treated as in breach for delay or failure caused by an event beyond reasonable control, such as natural disaster, epidemic, government restriction, civil disturbance, major infrastructure failure or similar event, to the extent that event actually prevents performance.
The affected parties should take reasonable steps to reduce disruption. Rescheduling, credit or refund treatment will depend on the service that can still be provided, the applicable booking policy and mandatory law. A Customer will not be forced to accept a credit note where applicable law gives a right to another remedy.
36.Changes to the Platform and these Terms
We may improve, add, remove or modify Platform features. If a change materially reduces a paid service already purchased, any remedy will be determined under the specific service terms and applicable law.
We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or business reasons. Material changes will be notified in a reasonable manner and will normally apply prospectively. Changes will not retroactively remove accrued statutory rights.
37.Dispute resolution and consumer rights
We encourage Customers to first raise a complaint through our customer-care or grievance process so that the matter can be investigated.
If a dispute concerns the underlying Property service, the Partner remains responsible for its own service obligations and venuebook.in may assist with communication or mediation without guaranteeing an outcome.
Any mediation or arbitration will be by mutual agreement or in accordance with a valid applicable agreement and law. No provision in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of a right to approach a Consumer Commission, the National Consumer Helpline, a court, regulator or other forum that cannot lawfully be excluded.
38.Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer-protection and jurisdictional rules, disputes with venuebook.in may be brought before courts or statutory forums having jurisdiction under applicable law.
Where a contractual choice of court is legally permitted for a non-consumer dispute, the competent courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka will have jurisdiction, unless venuebook.in publishes a different registered-office jurisdiction in an updated legal notice.
39.Severability, waiver and assignment
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent possible. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
You may not transfer a Booking or account in a manner prohibited by the applicable booking terms. venuebook.in may transfer these Terms in connection with a lawful reorganization, merger, acquisition or transfer of the Platform, subject to applicable notice and consumer rights.
